David began working professionally at Caliber Press, as an inker on Gary Francis' Return of Happy the Clown, and later, on Francis' Young Dracula: Prayer of the Vampire. He went on to serve as inker for Caliber's OZ Special: Scarecrow.

In 2001, he joined Antarctic Press as artist on their adaptation of Gigantor. With this experience, he went on to create, or co-create several successful titles, including;
Dragon Arms, Oz: The Manga, Junction 17, Steampunk Sherlock Holmes alongside Robby Bevard, RoboCopper along with Marshall Naylor, Mischief and Mayhem, Teether, and Jabberwock under Antarctic Press' Horror Comics line.

In addition, David penciled several issues of Archie Comics' licensed series, Sonic X, as well as creating cover art, and interior art for Wizard Entertainment's Anime Insider. David was artist for The Complete Idiots Guide to Drawing Manga Illustrated for IDW.

David also worked as inker for Tokyopop on their licensed series, The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero's
Journey. He is currently colorist on Ben Dunn's Ninja High School.
